More activity in the NW

A message from the MVC group in the North-West:

There is a meeting for North-West Make Votes Count activists on Saturday 18 March at 11.45 am. The meeting venue is 'The Quarter', 7 Falkner Street, Liverpool, L8 7PU. Falkner Street is off Hope Street, which has the Philharmonic Hall on the corner of Hope Street and Hardman Street. The meeting is in a cafe and refreshments can be purchased.

The MVC in Merseyside & Cheshire Local Group held a successful public meeting about voting reform for local government on 16 February. The recent Power Inquiry report strongly supports the introduction of a responsive electoral system to replace FPTP for elections to the House of Commons, House of Lords and local councils in England and Wales. The meeting on 18 March will consider how MVC can build support for reform.
