Gordon Brown wants STV
Speaking of the "Chancellor's determination to restore faith in our political system", Sir Alastair Graham, chairman of the committee on standards in public life noted how at his first meeting with Mr Brown, "he very much expressed the view that restoring trust between the public and politicians was a major issue that needed to be addressed".
His comments follow the committee's most recent survey on trust in politicians.
"These results should concern all of us who want to live in a healthy democracy; one that is dependent on vibrant, competitive political parties and politicians who need our trust and consent to carry out their critically important roles," said Sir Alistair.
The part of the interview in which it was clarified that the best way to encourage "vibrant, competitive political parties and politicians who need our trust and consent to carry out their critically important roles" was with STV sadly seems to have been misplaced.
