Canada goes to the polls - again

What was that about First-Past-the-Post and stable, strong, effective government? There goes another fallacy so liked by the anti-PR brigade. Stephen Harper, the Canadian PM, has just called a general election, the BBC reports.

"The PM, elected in 2006, has complained that parliament is deadlocked. The vote will be Canada's third national election in four years"
